The 'Power of Movements' now online!
We are excited to announce the launch of a new section of our website: ‘The Forum 08 in Review’. At the last AWID Forum, nearly two thousand women’s rights activists gathered in Cape Town to debate and strategise around the ‘Power of Movements’.
Read about the impact, and achievements of this key event, share in the discussions that took place over the four days including the plenary sessions and most popular breakout sessions and reflect on what the Forum meant for you through personal testimonies, poetry and photos that capture some of the tremendous energy, passionate debate, and principled solidarity that is a hallmark of AWID forums.

We hope that this resource will contribute to sharing some of the big ideas that came out of AWID Forum 08 and, at the same time, remind you that the power of women's movements is making a difference, all around the world.
